The EcoMobility Alliance is proud to welcome our newest member, the city of Burgas, Bulgaria. Burgas is a prominent example for EcoMobility globally and has undergone the SHIFT assessment successfully. City efforts to promote sustainable means of mobility and an efficient public transportation are an inspiration to cities around the world. Burgas is truly a world leader with its consecutive implementation of municipal policies and measures to improve urban mobility, environment and hence reduce noise and air pollution.

The new automatic self-service municipal bike share system as well has proved successful in attracting to the alternative transport mode more than 10 000 active all year around users plus about that much random bike hires made by visitors and guests of the city.

Within the EcoMobility Alliance, the city of Burgas will have the chance to share its experiences and best practices in the field of urban mobility while also make the best out of the opportunity to discuss and learn from innovative concepts applied in other cities.
