The ITF 2025 Summit on Transport Resilience to Global Shocks will be from May 21 to 23 in Leipzig, Germany, with Chile serving as ITF President. The Summit will focus on how governments can keep transport systems running during disruptions like natural disasters, pandemics, cyber-attacks, and geopolitical crises. These events can cause delays, financial losses, and reduce public trust. The program, created with input from ITF’s 69 member countries and other partners, will cover three main topics:

User: Keeping transport systems safe, reliable, and well-communicated during disruptions.
Provider: Managing operations despite challenges like damaged infrastructure or staff shortages.
Governance and Financing: Building policies, partnerships, and funding to support resilient systems.

Velo-City Conference 2025, the annual world cycling summit, will be held this year in Gdańsk, Poland, from June 10 to 13. Advocates, cities, policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders will meet to shape the future of cycling and sustainable urban development.

The main theme for the conference this year “Energizing Solidarity” to discuss how cycling energizes people to lead a gentle revolution towards decarbonized and just mobility systems. Cycling stands for freedom, sustainability, and a shared goal to improve living conditions. It encourages healthier lifestyles, better use of road space, and fairer transport systems. Cycling also helps reduce transport emissions and supports economic growth.

The European Mobility Week is the European Commission’s leading campaign to promote sustainable urban mobility. It encourages people to shift towards active travel, public transport, and clean, smart transportation solutions. The event runs annually from 16-22 September, ending with the popular Car-Free Day. This week, local authorities are encouraged to test innovative planning measures, showcase new infrastructure and technologies, monitor air quality, and gather public feedback. With more cities participating each year and significant media attention, the campaign has become a key driver for advancing sustainable urban mobility across Europe and beyond.

The 8th edition of Transport and Climate Change Week will take place in person in Berlin from September 22–26, 2025. As a flagship annual event, it plays a key role in advancing the transition to net-zero transport and accelerating decarbonization efforts worldwide.

The event brings together experts and decision-makers from around the globe to exchange ideas, collaborate with stakeholders, and develop innovative solutions for sustainable transport. Over the years, Transport and Climate Change Week has become a vital platform for dialogue, cooperation, and knowledge-sharing between developing countries and emerging economies.
